Acharya Nagarjuna University Centre of Distance Education is one of the best Open and Distance Learning (ODL) universities in the country, accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and was established in the year 2003. This university is recognised by the University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB). Acharya Nagarjuna Distance Education provides courses in Semester mode on par with the conventional mode. The courses available in Open and Distance Learning modes are learner-centric. Providing quality learning at an affordable cost through a wide network of Student Support Centres. Admissions of the Centre of Distance Education, Acharya University are made twice a year i.e., Calendar Year Batch (Jan-March) and Academic Year Batch (July-September) as per the notification issued by the University Grants Commission-Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB). Admission is based on the eligibility of the eligibility for the respective courses. Self-Learning Material (SLM) is prepared by eminent Professors and is given to the students enrolled in courses provided by the Open and Distance Learning mode of the university. Personal Contact Programme (PCP) classes will be conducted on Saturdays, Sundays and other Public Holidays as per the academic schedule given for the academic and calendar year batches of enrolled students at the respective Student Support Centres (LSCs). Examinations are conducted twice a year and results will be declared within two months after completion of examinations. Certificates are dispatched to the doorsteps of the students through post to the address given by students at the time of filling out the online admission application. Gold medals are also awarded to outstanding students based on their performance in examinations.
